M.S.T. Bar (Fiberglass Rebar)

MST BAR (GRFP) refers to Multi-Strand Tendons with Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GRFP) sheathing. This construction material is used in prestressed concrete applications, particularly in post-tensioned concrete structures such as bridges, parking structures, and buildings.

The main benefit of using MST BAR (GRFP) lies in its superior corrosion resistance compared to traditional steel tendons. The glass fiber reinforced polymer sheathing protects the prestressing strands from moisture, chemicals, and environmental degradation, thus significantly extending the service life of the structure. Additionally, MST BAR (GRFP) tendons are lightweight and non-magnetic, making them easier to handle during construction and less prone to interference with electromagnetic fields.

Other advantages of MST BAR (GRFP) include reduced maintenance costs, improved long-term performance, and enhanced sustainability due to the use of non-corrosive materials. Overall, MST BAR (GRFP) offers a durable and reliable solution for prestressed concrete construction projects, particularly in harsh environmental conditions or corrosive environments.

To highlight, MST bar is...

  • 1/4 The Weight of Steel Rebar

  • 2.5 to 3x Stronger Than Steel

  • Has a Lifespan of Over 100 Years!!

  • Non-Corrosive + Non-Conductive

  • More Eco-Friendly To Produce

  • Has a Superior Bond Strength Compared to Steel
